Dubai is cementing its place as the world's premier MICE destination: Dubai Business Events (DBE), the official convention bureau of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, secured 437 successful bids for international conferences, congresses, and business meetings in 2024 — a 20% year-on-year increase that will bring an estimated 210,731 delegates to the emirate.

The 437 successful bids represent a landmark achievement for Dubai business events, reinforcing the emirate's reputation for world-class infrastructure, connectivity, and hospitality. Dubai's ascent as a must-visit MICE destination is rooted in its strategic mix of state-of-the-art venues, political stability, easy international accessibility, and a track record of delivering high-profile global events.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said business events play a critical role in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position the city as one of the world's most competitive destinations for business and leisure. "The healthy increase in successful bids in 2024 is further proof of Dubai's rising prominence," he said, adding that the growth demonstrates the city's "unmatched capabilities in infrastructure, experience, and unique delegate offerings."
