The Dubai Metro Music Festival 2024 has kicked off its fourth edition, turning five of the city's busiest metro stations into live concert venues — and every performance is free.
Organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in cooperation with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the festival runs from September 21 through September 27, with shows daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Where to Catch the Performances
Commuters and visitors can enjoy live music at five stations across the network:
- The Dubai Mall - Mall of the Emirates - BurJuman - Union - DMCC
The lineup rotates daily across all five stations, so no two evenings are the same.
20 Musicians, One Week of Free Live Music
This year's Dubai Metro Music Festival features 20 young musicians from the UAE and other countries, playing a wide range of instruments and genres — strings, percussion, wind instruments, and even compositions crafted from everyday objects. The daily rotation ensures variety throughout the week and gives performers across all five stations equal stage time.
A Festival Built on Dubai's Creative Vision
The Dubai Metro Music Festival reflects Dubai's commitment to cultural tolerance and the promotion of creativity. By transforming a routine commute into an entertainment experience, Brand Dubai and the RTA have made world music accessible to residents and visitors alike — no ticket required.
The festival has grown in ambition with each edition, and the fourth continues that trajectory with an international cast of emerging talent.
