Global Village Season 29 kicks off on 16 October 2024, and Dubai's beloved multicultural family destination is pulling out all the stops for its landmark 29th season. From a brand-new Restaurant Plaza to three freshly added country pavilions and revamped crowd-favourite zones, this season promises more culture, cuisine, and entertainment than ever before.
New Restaurant Plaza Next to the Carnaval Funfair
The headline addition for Season 29 is the all-new Restaurant Plaza, positioned right next to the Carnaval funfair district. It brings together 11 two-storey restaurants, each spotlighting a different international cuisine, so families can graze across continents in a single evening.
Beyond the food, the plaza doubles as a live entertainment hub. Performances and shows are scheduled throughout the season on the central stage, making it a destination in its own right — not just a pit stop between pavilions.
Three New Country Pavilions Join the Lineup
Global Village Season 29 introduces three new cultural pavilions: Jordan, Iraq, and a combined Sri Lanka & Bangladesh pavilion. The additions bring the total to 30 pavilions, collectively representing more than 90 cultures from around the world.
Each new pavilion features themed facades, curated retail stalls, and signature street food from the respective countries — giving visitors fresh reasons to explore every corner of the destination.
Upgraded Fan-Favourite Attractions
Returning favourites have also received meaningful upgrades for Season 29. The Railway Market, Floating Market, and Fiesta Street have all been refreshed with improved sightlines, double-height retail stalls, and redesigned layouts that make for better browsing and more photogenic backdrops.
New green promenades woven throughout the site provide landscaped gathering spots where visitors can relax between pavilions, enjoy a meal, or simply take in the atmosphere.
Tickets and Season Dates
Season 29 runs from 16 October 2024. VIP tickets are already on sale, while standard entry tickets are expected to go on sale shortly before the opening date. Booking early is recommended, especially for the season launch weekend.
Global Village remains one of Dubai's most iconic annual events, blending shopping, dining, and live entertainment from dozens of cultures under one roof — and Season 29 looks set to be its biggest chapter yet.
