His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched MyDubai Communities — a digital platform designed to unite the city's citizens, residents, and visitors through shared interests. The initiative builds on the energy of the successful #MyDubai campaign and brings together Dubai's famously diverse population under one digital roof.
What Is MyDubai Communities?
MyDubai Communities gives users access to around 100 interest-based groups spanning sports, arts, culture, wellness, and professional networking. The platform is built around the idea that a city thrives not only on great infrastructure but on the strength of its social fabric.
Residents from more than 200 nationalities call Dubai home, and MyDubai Communities is designed to be an inclusive space where people can discover others who share their passions — whether that means joining a cycling club, an art workshop, a reading group, or a professional networking session. Users can explore existing communities or create a new group within five minutes.
Aligned with Dubai's Strategic Vision
The launch of MyDubai Communities is directly tied to two of Dubai's major long-term blueprints: the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. Both agendas share the overarching goal of positioning Dubai among the world's top three cities for quality of life by 2033.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the initiative further cements Dubai's standing as a global hub for residents, businesses, and tourists alike.
The platform also arrives at a meaningful moment — the UAE's Year of Community 2025 — a national theme that recognises the value of social connections and a shared societal identity.
How to Join
MyDubai Communities is available at mydubaicommunities.com and active on Instagram and TikTok through the handle @mydubaicommunities. Sports clubs, cultural sessions, wellness groups, and networking events are all discoverable through its straightforward interface.
Sheikh Hamdan summed up the platform's purpose clearly: city success depends on both proper infrastructure and strong social connections between its people. MyDubai Communities is the latest step in turning that vision into daily life for Dubai's 3.85 million residents.
