Emirates Dubai 7s has confirmed multi-award-winning British artist Stormzy as the headline act for Sunday, December 1 at The Sevens Stadium. Armed with genre-defining tracks like Big for Your Boots, Shut Up, and Vossi Bop, the Grammy-nominated grime icon will perform on the Frequency on 8 stage to close out what organisers are calling their biggest festival to date.
Stormzy Confirmed as Closing Night Headliner
The announcement broke across social media in a series of illustrated clues — London's Big Ben, Manchester United's Old Trafford, and a silver envelope — that built anticipation before the official reveal. Festival director Mathew Tait described the booking as a statement of intent: "Stormzy is one of the biggest names in music and we couldn't think of anyone better to close our biggest festival to date."
It will be Stormzy's first UAE performance since 2021, when he headlined an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert. The Mercury Music Prize winner holds three UK number-one albums and is widely regarded as one of Britain's most influential artists of the past decade.
Beyond his headline set, Stormzy will also compete in a padel tennis tournament on Saturday, November 30 — an event open to the public — before returning to the main stage the following night.

The Emirates Dubai 7s 2024 runs across the UAE National Day long weekend: Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1. For the first time in the event's history, there will be headline music acts on both Saturday and Sunday nights. Sugababes have been confirmed as the Saturday headline act, with Stormzy closing on Sunday.
The live sports programme is equally ambitious. More than 5,000 athletes are expected to compete across rugby, padel, netball, cricket, and fitness events, cementing the festival's reputation as the largest sport and music event in the Middle East. Past performers on Surrey Street have included Kylie Minogue, Becky Hill, and Craig David.
Families are well catered for, with a record-size kids' area and free entry for children under four years old.

General entry on Friday is free. Saturday and Sunday tickets are priced from AED 425 per day. A full weekend pass is available for AED 550.
