The 1 Billion Followers Summit returned to Dubai for its third edition from January 11 to 13, 2025, cementing the UAE's ambition to lead the global creator economy. Held across three iconic venues — Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future — the event brought together the world's top digital creators under the banner of #Content4Good.
A Summit Built for Scale
The third edition drew over 15,000 content creators and influencers, 420 speakers, and 125 CEOs and industry experts from around the world. With all tickets sold out ahead of the event, organisers expected more than 30,000 visitors across the three days — a strong indicator of the summit's growing global profile.
The creator economy that drew them is no niche market. It is currently valued at $250 billion and forecast to reach $440 billion in the coming years, making the 1 Billion Followers Summit one of the most strategically significant gatherings in media and technology.
UAE's Vision for the Creator Economy
Youssef Al Baqishi, speaking on behalf of the organising committee, underscored the UAE's intention to hold the top position in this rapidly expanding sector. He noted that the summit plays a direct role in channelling exceptional talent and global ventures into the UAE's business environment — one that already offers world-class infrastructure, broad investment access, and a regulatory framework designed to support creators and companies alike.
This aligns with the UAE's long-term ambition to establish itself as the world's foremost hub for innovation and digital creativity. The summit was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
What Made This Edition Different
For the first time, the third edition brought together all of the world's leading social media platforms under one roof — Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) — offering creators a rare opportunity to engage directly with platform leadership.
More than 340 sessions were held across three tracks: economy, content, and technology, spanning keynote addresses, roundtables, interactive discussions, and hands-on training workshops.
