The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has officially announced the UAE Eid Al Fitr 2025 private sector holiday dates. All private sector employees across the UAE will receive a paid public holiday from Sunday, March 30 through Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Official Holiday Dates Confirmed by MoHRE
According to the MoHRE announcement, private sector workers are entitled to paid time off on:
- Sunday, March 30, 2025 - Monday, March 31, 2025 - Tuesday, April 1, 2025
The directive applies to all employees working in the UAE's private sector, ensuring a nationally consistent three-day break for the Islamic celebration.
Possible Fourth Day if Ramadan Runs 30 Days
The Ministry also specified that if Ramadan completes 30 days, the holiday will be extended by one additional day through Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The UAE Moon Sighting Committee observes the Shawwal crescent on the evening of March 29 to determine the final duration.
For employees who also have Saturday off, the Eid break could extend into a five-day long weekend before work resumes on Thursday, April 3.
What This Means for UAE Private Sector Workers
Private sector employees across the UAE now have official confirmation of their paid holiday entitlement for Eid Al Fitr 2025. Workers should plan accordingly and await any further guidance from their employers on operational adjustments during the holiday period.
