Jumeirah Beach 1 is set to welcome residents and visitors to a significantly upgraded coastal experience, with the major expansion project now 95 per cent complete. The redevelopment, led by Dubai Municipality, will expand the beach area by 50 per cent, transforming it into a modern, integrated public destination designed for relaxation, recreation, and active lifestyles.
The project was recently reviewed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who visited the site to assess progress. Sharing details on social media, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that the development aligns with the Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040, both of which focus on enhancing public spaces and improving everyday living across the emirate.
According to Sheikh Hamdan, the upgraded beach reflects Dubai's long-term vision to create some of the best and most beautiful public beaches in the world, offering high-quality experiences for people of all ages while promoting health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
What Visitors Can Expect
The Jumeirah Beach 1 upgrade goes far beyond expanding the shoreline. Once opened, the area will feature dedicated walking, jogging, and cycling tracks, encouraging outdoor activity along the coast. New recreational and sports facilities will cater to both individuals and families, while thoughtfully designed leisure zones will provide comfortable spaces for socialising and relaxation.
The redesign aims to strike a balance between nature, fitness, and entertainment, making the beach a welcoming destination for daily visits as well as weekend outings.

In addition to lifestyle improvements, the project introduces more than 15 new investment opportunities, supporting local businesses and strengthening Dubai's beach tourism sector. These additions are expected to enhance visitor services while contributing to the city's growing leisure economy.
