The United Arab Emirates has pledged $200,000 to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Refugee Programme for 2025. The commitment was announced on December 5, 2024, at the annual UNHCR pledging conference in Geneva, where countries and organisations formally declare their voluntary contributions to international refugee assistance.
UN Refugee Chief Thanks the UAE
UN Refugee Chief Filippo Grandi acknowledged the UAE's contribution at the conference, thanking the country for its consistent support and funding. He commended the nation's sustained engagement in responding to the challenges faced by refugees around the world.

UAE Permanent Representative to the UN and other International Organisations in Geneva, Jamal Al Musharakh, underscored the country's ongoing commitment to UNHCR's mission.
"As we stand with UNHCR today we recommit ourselves to the humanitarian principles of humanity and dignity for all people," he said.
