  Eid Al Adha 2025 in the UAE is expected to fall on Friday, June 6, as the International Astronomy Centre predicts the Dhul Hijjah crescent moon will be visible on May 27. The UAE Cabinet has confirmed a four-day public holiday covering Arafat Day and the three days of Eid.

  While the UAE missed the northern lights, Abu Dhabi astronomer Mohammed Odeh captured rare photos of giant solar flames from the strongest geomagnetic storm to hit Earth in 20 years. The sunspot cluster was 17 times wider than Earth.
