Coldplay fans in the UAE are in for one of the most spectacular live shows of the year. The British band's Music of the Spheres World Tour arrives at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi for four dates in January 2025 — and the full support lineup has now been confirmed, with Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna and French-Zimbabwean Afro-pop artist Shone both set to open the shows.
Elyanna: The Rising Star You Need to Know
Elyanna is a 22-year-old Palestinian-Chilean artist who blends Arabic pop with Latin rhythms in a way few performers can match. She came to international attention when Coldplay invited her onto the Glastonbury 2024 stage to perform "We Pray" and "Arabesque" during the band's record-breaking fifth headline set at the festival. That performance — watched by millions — cemented her status as one of the most exciting voices in global music.
For the Abu Dhabi dates, Elyanna takes the full opening-act slot, bringing her unique sound to what are the only GCC concerts on the entire tour.
Shone: Afro-Pop Energy from Zimbabwe
Also opening each night is Shone, a French-Zimbabwean hip-hop and Afro-pop artist whose music weaves in the rhythms of the mbira (thumb piano), a cornerstone of Zimbabwean traditional music. His debut EP Love and Trap showcases a bold blend of contemporary Afro-pop and cultural heritage, and his high-energy live sets have already won over audiences during Coldplay's Australia and New Zealand tour dates.
Together, Elyanna and Shone are set to deliver a warm-up unlike any other before Coldplay take the stage.
