flydubai will begin daily flight operations to Bhairahawa's Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) in Nepal from November 10, 2024. The service departs from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), giving passengers an additional entry point into Nepal. Return flights from Bhairahawa to Dubai operate via Kathmandu, meeting the growing demand for air travel between the UAE and Nepal.
flydubai Adds Bhairahawa as Second Nepal Gateway
Sudhir Sreedharan, flydubai's Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, highlighted the significance of the new route: "Bhairahawa Airport is Nepal's second international airport and is located in Siddharthanagar serving the Lumbini Province, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. We are pleased to continue to serve Nepal with the addition of our new daily service, underscoring our commitment to offer reliable and convenient travel options via Dubai's aviation hub."
The new route marks a major expansion of flydubai's Nepal presence. The airline first began flying to Kathmandu in 2009 and has since transported over three million passengers between the two countries. With this addition, flydubai's network grows to 126 destinations across 55 countries.
Fares, Codeshare, and Booking
Daily flights to Bhairahawa depart DXB at 08:15 local time. Return Economy Lite fares start from AED 1,800, while Business Class fares start from AED 3,600.
Emirates will operate a codeshare on this route (EK 2292), opening up even more connectivity for travellers through Dubai's international aviation hub.
Passengers can book flights at flydubai.com, via the mobile app, or by calling the UAE contact centre.
