Emirates has opened a luxurious new lounge at London Stansted Airport, committing more than £4 million to a 900-square-metre facility designed to elevate the pre-flight experience for First and Business Class travellers and Emirates Skywards members.
A Premier New Space at London Stansted
The Emirates lounge at London Stansted Airport sits in Satellite 1, directly adjacent to the departure gates — just two to three minutes from the aircraft. The contemporary space accommodates up to 125 guests and features individual seating booths, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and refreshing shower facilities.
The opening completes Emirates' coverage of all London airports it serves. The airline already operates dedicated lounges at Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow, making Stansted its sixth UK lounge.
Farm-to-Table Dining and Premium Beverages
A standout element of the new lounge is its food and beverage offering. Emirates has partnered with Full Circles Farm, a Sussex-based organic farm, to deliver a seasonal, farm-to-table menu featuring fresh vegetables and locally sourced dishes. Guests can also enjoy a curated selection of wines, spirits, and Moët & Chandon champagne.
What Emirates and Stansted Said
Mohammed Mattar, Emirates' Divisional Senior Vice President of Airport Services, underscored the significance of the investment: "The new lounge at Stansted is a display of commitment towards providing quality services in one of our key centres."
Gareth Powell, Managing Director of London Stansted Airport, welcomed the new facility, noting it adds a meaningful benefit for passengers flying with Emirates to Dubai and beyond.
Emirates' Growing Stansted Operation
Emirates operates 14 weekly flights from London Stansted, connecting passengers to over 140 destinations across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. The airline continues to invest in ground-side services to match the standard of its onboard product.
The new lounge reinforces Emirates' positioning as a premium carrier committed to the full journey — from terminal to touchdown.
