The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released its working plan for New Year holiday 2025, covering transportation, parking, and service centres across Dubai. Here is the complete breakdown of RTA Dubai New Year 2025 service timings so you can plan ahead.
Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro will run extended hours over the holiday period:
- December 31, 2024: 5:00 AM to 11:59 PM - January 1, 2025: 12:00 midnight to 11:59 PM (full day)
Dubai Tram
- December 31, 2024: 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM - January 1, 2025: 12:00 midnight to 1:00 AM
Public Buses
For specific bus timings, passengers are advised to check the S'hail app. Two express routes will be suspended on December 31 and January 1:
- Route E100 (Al Ghubaiba Bus Station) — suspended; use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station as an alternative. - Route E102 (Al Jafiliya Bus Station) — suspended; use the same route from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Shabiya Musaffah.
Marine Transport
Water Taxi services will operate on selected routes:
- Marina Mall – Bluewaters: 4:00 PM to 12:00 midnight - Marina Mall 1 – Marina Walk: 12:00 noon to 11:10 PM - On-demand services: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Dubai Ferry will run scheduled departures, including:
- Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Water Canal: 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Abras crossing Dubai Creek and Festival City will run between 11:00 AM and midnight.
Tourist boat trips around Dubai Water Canal and Sheikh Zayed Marine Station are scheduled from 4:00 PM to 10:15 PM.
Public Parking
All public parking areas — except multi-storey car parks — will be free of charge on January 1, 2025. Paid parking resumes from January 2, 2025.
Service Centres and Customer Happiness Centres
All RTA service provider centres and Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on January 1, 2025. Normal operations will resume on January 2, 2025.
