Acting under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved the disbursement of the second Abu Dhabi housing benefits package for 2024. Valued at AED 3.309 billion, the package targets 2,015 Emirati citizens across the emirate.
Housing Loans Worth AED 3 Billion for 1,766 Citizens
The core component of the Abu Dhabi housing benefits package for 2024 is a housing loan tranche totalling more than AED 3.046 billion, benefiting 1,766 citizens. Of these, 782 loans are earmarked for the purchase of residential units in the Balghaiylam residential project, providing families with access to quality housing in a dedicated community development.
Social Waivers for Elderly, Retirees, and Bereaved Families
A significant social dimension of the package extends relief to citizens who are exempt from housing loan repayments altogether. Elderly citizens, low-income retirees, and the families of deceased persons will receive waivers totalling more than AED 262.8 million, directly benefiting 249 individuals across Abu Dhabi.
ADHA Officials Affirm Leadership's Commitment
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Board of Directors, expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for their continuous support of citizens and their families. Director General Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi echoed this sentiment, reaffirming that the leadership's focus on the prosperity of Emirati citizens remains a national priority.
Package Timed to Eid Al Adha
The release of the housing benefits package ahead of Eid Al Adha reflects the leadership's care for the welfare of Emirati families during significant national and religious occasions. Since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority was established, the total value of housing benefits disbursed has exceeded AED 152 billion — a figure that underscores the scale and consistency of the emirate's social housing commitment.
