Cirque du Soleil Abu Dhabi 2026 brings the acclaimed production Corteo to Etihad Arena on Yas Island for ten nights from 12 to 21 June. It marks the first time the show has ever played the UAE capital — and, for fans worldwide, it represents the closing chapter of this celebrated production's 21-year global run.
The Abu Dhabi engagement is presented by Ethara and SES Live!, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral.
What Is Corteo?
First staged in 2005, Corteo has captivated more than 12 million spectators across over 150 cities worldwide. The show weaves Cirque du Soleil's signature acrobatics, theatrical storytelling, live music, and visual spectacle into a dreamlike parade of scenes.
At its heart, Corteo imagines the world through the eyes of a clown — creating a whimsical, emotional journey filled with humour and genuine heart. Rather than following a traditional linear storyline, the production unfolds as a sequence of striking characters and unforgettable moments.
Audiences can expect gravity-defying aerial acts, playful clown performances, flying chandeliers, bouncing beds, and elaborate stage design that pushes creative boundaries.
A Unique Two-Sided Arena Format
One of the defining features of the Abu Dhabi run is its rare two-sided arena configuration. The stage will be positioned at the centre of Etihad Arena, with audiences seated on both sides facing one another.
This layout offers a perspective on the performance typically reserved for the performers themselves. Hand-painted curtains inspired by European theatre traditions further enhance the visual richness of the experience.

Over its 21-year journey, Corteo has played landmark venues including London's Royal Albert Hall, The O2 Arena, and Paris' Accor Arena.
