Golf, games and good times are officially heading to Yas Island. Topgolf Yas Island Abu Dhabi has been confirmed by Miral, with construction already under way and an opening targeted for 2026 — making it the brand's second location in the UAE.
The announcement follows the enormous success of Topgolf Dubai, which has welcomed more than 2.7 million guests since opening. Known for blending sport, music, food and social entertainment, Topgolf's arrival signals a significant upgrade to Yas Island's already impressive leisure offering.
Unlike traditional golf, Topgolf focuses on fun, friendly competition and high-energy atmospheres. Guests don't need to be seasoned golfers — just ready to swing, relax and enjoy the experience.
Topgolf Yas Island: A Multi-Level Entertainment Destination
Topgolf Yas Island will be a three-level venue featuring 82 climate-controlled hitting bays, including eight VIP bays for private group sessions and premium bookings. Each bay overlooks a sweeping 19,000-square-metre outfield equipped with TopTracer technology, which tracks every ball's speed, distance and flight path in real time — so players can see exactly how their shot performed.
The ground floor features a virtual reality hitting bay, direct access to the tee line, lounge areas, an event lawn, and a fully equipped pro shop stocking golf equipment and merchandise. Visitors can expect a wide selection of food and beverage options spread throughout the complex, making it a destination for extended visits rather than quick games.
Sky Lounge, Arcade and Event Spaces
Upstairs, the venue houses a sports and sky lounge with outdoor terraces, an arcade zone and flexible event spaces that can be configured for birthdays, corporate events and large-scale celebrations. Whether you're booking out a VIP bay for a group outing or spending an afternoon on the terrace with the skyline as a backdrop, there's something here for every occasion.
Building on Topgolf's UAE Success
The Yas Island venue builds on the runaway performance of Topgolf Dubai, which has recorded tens of millions of swings since opening. The strong local appetite for experiential entertainment made Abu Dhabi a natural next step for the brand's UAE expansion.
Christopher May, Chief Executive Officer at Viya — the authorised franchise partner behind the project — said the new venue reflected a broader commitment to bringing world-class leisure and entertainment destinations to the UAE.
Construction had reached 28% completion at the time of the announcement, keeping the 2026 opening on track.
A Major Boost for Yas Island
With Topgolf joining Yas Island's line-up of attractions, the destination further cements its reputation as one of the region's leading hubs for entertainment, leisure and nightlife. From theme parks and live events to dining and now interactive sports entertainment, Yas Island continues to evolve into a place where visitors can spend an entire day — or night — without running out of things to do.
In short, Abu Dhabi's nights out just got a very fun upgrade.
