The Sikka Art and Design Festival 2025 launches this weekend as part of the ongoing Dubai Art Season. The Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood hosts the 13th edition from January 31 to February 9, spotlighting Emirati and UAE-based artists through a rich mix of exhibitions, workshops, music, and live performances.
What to Expect at Sikka Art and Design Festival 2025
Delivered under the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, this year's programme is the most expansive yet. Visitors can look forward to:
- 450+ workshops, talks, and panel discussions - 100+ live performances - 13 theatrical shows - Six orchestral concerts - 40+ public art installations spread across 19 houses, the courtyard, and alleyways of Al Shindagha, and along Dubai Creek
Entry to Sikka 2025 is free, though registration is required.
Firdaus Orchestra and Musical Highlights
The festival's headline musical act is the Firdaus Orchestra, led by world-renowned composer A.R. Rahman. Joining them are the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Dubai City Sound ensemble — making this one of the most musically ambitious editions in the festival's history.
Culinary Experiences and F&B
Beyond the art, Sikka 2025 delivers a standout food programme. More than 50 homegrown F&B concepts are on-site, and exclusive 'House of Saffron' supper clubs — prepared by nine eminent chefs — offer an intimate fine-dining experience within the festival grounds.
Dubai Art Season 2025: The Bigger Picture
The Sikka festival is a signature event within Dubai Art Season 2025, which kicked off on January 4 and runs through April 20. The season reaches its climax at Art Dubai, held at Madinat Jumeirah from April 18 to 20, with exhibitions from galleries across 60+ cities presenting contemporary masterpieces, digital exhibits, and unique commissioned artworks.
Dubai Art Season 2025 continues to strengthen the city's position as a global arts and culture hub — and the Sikka Art and Design Festival is its most accessible, community-focused highlight.
