Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has launched two AI-powered features — Smart Disclosures and Financial Summary — within its iVestor app, as part of a broader push to make company information and financial data as accessible as possible for everyday investors.
The new tools were unveiled at the 3rd MENA Capital Market Summit, held May 6–7, 2025, at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Smart Disclosures: AI-Summarised Company Announcements
The Smart Disclosures feature uses artificial intelligence to scan through lengthy company announcements and extract the most critical information into condensed, readable summaries. Instead of wading through pages of regulatory filings, investors get the key points at a glance.
Financial Summary: Key Metrics at a Glance
The Financial Summary tool delivers a quick, easy-to-read snapshot of a company's financial performance — covering essential metrics such as revenue, net profit, and earnings per share. It is designed to help investors make faster, more informed decisions without needing an accounting background.
DFM CEO: Lowering Barriers to Participation
DFM CEO Hamed Ali said the enhancements reflect the exchange's commitment to inclusivity: "For us, improving access to information is part of a broader effort to lower barriers to participation and support a more informed and engaged investor base."
iVestor: From Dividend Tracker to Full Investment Platform
The AI additions come on the back of DFM's major 2024 overhaul of the iVestor app, which originally launched as a simple dividend tracker before evolving into a comprehensive investment service. Today, users can trade shares, subscribe to IPOs, manage their portfolio, and track market activity — all from a single mobile interface.
The iVestor app now counts over 240,000 users from more than 100 nationalities, cementing its position as a leading digital gateway to Dubai's capital markets. The addition of AI tools is particularly aimed at younger, tech-savvy investors who prefer speed and simplicity in their investing experience.
