The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), in collaboration with The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced the launch of the new round of the Dubai Future Experts Program (DEEP) — the world's first government initiative to build a certified community of strategic foresight practitioners across Dubai's major government sectors.
What Is the Dubai Future Experts Program?
DEEP was initiated under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence. Its goal is to provide a progressive learning framework in strategic foresight, policy-making, and innovation — equipping Emirati professionals with the tools to anticipate and shape the future of the emirate.
The program aims to develop an accredited community of foresight practitioners within major government institutions in Dubai, strengthening the ability of Emirati professionals to plan for long-term challenges and opportunities.
Two-Tier Training Structure
The Dubai Future Experts Program 2025 is structured in two sequential modules:
Tier 1 — Certified Foresight Practitioner (May–June 2025): Participants receive intensive, hands-on training in foresight methodologies, horizon scanning, and future scenario development.
Tier 2 — Certified Foresight Ambassador (September–October 2025): A project-based module in which participants design and present a strategic foresight initiative addressing a key future challenge relevant to Dubai.
Why DEEP Matters for Dubai's Government
Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of DFF, described the program as a critical factor in developing government leadership for the future.
"Through the introduction of Strategic Foresight within government entities — a revolutionary approach within Dubai's government — we see that this concept is essential for future policy-making," Al Jaziri said.
Participants who complete the program are awarded a certificate in Strategic Foresight from DFF and The Executive Council of Dubai, gain exclusive access to a global strategic foresight community, and receive invitations to DFF events and specialized training programs.
