An Indian national working as a construction company supervisor in Dubai has emerged as the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire — and he still doesn't know it. Chimalakonda Krishna, who is in his thirties, won $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 462 during the draw held at Concourse D of Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Krishna, who is originally from India, bought ticket number 1795 through the Dubai Duty Free online platform on May 8. He is currently unreachable and will no doubt be surprised when he learns of his newfound fortune.
Krishna is the 230th Indian to win the Millennium Millionaire prize since the promotion launched in 1999 — a remarkable streak that underscores just how many UAE-based Indian residents participate in the world-famous raffle.
Finest Surprise Luxury Vehicle Winners
Alongside the Millennium Millionaire draw, three lucky participants also walked away with luxury vehicles in the Finest Surprise draws held the same evening.
Henry Paul, a 55-year-old Indian residing in Dubai, claimed the Finest Surprise Series 1879 prize — a brand-new Mercedes Benz S 500 Obsidian Black Metallic — after his ticket number 0514 was selected. Paul holds a general management position at a multinational corporation in the medical products sector and has been participating in Dubai Duty Free promotions for 15 years.
"I have been buying for many years and was still not fortunate to win, however I did not give up. This time I knew it must be my lucky day — and it is NOW!" he said, thanking Dubai Duty Free for the opportunity.
Emirati and Indian Winners Complete the Night
Ebrahim Al Nuaimi, an Emirati based in the UAE, won the Finest Surprise Series 1880 prize: a Mercedes Benz G 63 in Polar White. Al Nuaimi purchased his winning ticket number 1236 online on May 20 and could not be reached for comment immediately after the draw.
Ajasmon K.S., a 36-year-old Indian national living in Sharjah, rounded out the night's winners by claiming an Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory 1100 (Time Attack) motorbike in the Finest Surprise Series 582 draw with ticket number 1044. A sales executive in the cleaning and hygiene industry in Ajman, Ajasmon has been entering the draw for five years.
"Dubai Duty Free, thank you very much," Ajasmon said. "The money I receive from selling this bike will help my family establish our future in Kerala."
