The Dubai Ramadan Market 2025 is officially open. For its third consecutive year, Dubai Municipality has launched the Ramadan Souq at the Grand Souq in Deira, giving residents and visitors a dedicated destination to prepare for the holy month ahead.
Where and When: Grand Souq Deira
The market opened on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Grand Souq on Old Municipality Street in Deira. It operates daily from 10 AM to 10 PM through Saturday, February 22.
The Grand Souq's location near Dubai Creek makes it one of the city's most historically resonant venues — a fitting backdrop for a market rooted in pre-Ramadan tradition.
What to Expect at the Ramadan Souq
Shoppers can pick up essential household items, electronics, and unique specialty goods at competitive prices — exactly the kind of one-stop sourcing that makes the Ramadan Souq a practical anchor for fasting preparation.
This year's edition also stocks special products for Hag Al Laila, the beloved Emirati celebration that falls on February 14 (the 15th of Sha'ban). Traditional sweets, lanterns, children's costumes, and decorative items for the occasion are all available at the market.
Entertainment and Community Events
Beyond shopping, the Dubai Ramadan Market 2025 expands into a full community programme. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment performances, instructional workshops, and child-focused activities — creating a shared celebration space that mirrors the communal spirit of Ramadan itself.
Countdown to Ramadan 2025
The crescent moon for Ramadan is expected to be sighted on Friday, February 28, pointing to a Saturday, March 1 start date for Ramadan 2025. That gives shoppers roughly five weeks from opening day to use the Ramadan Souq Deira as their prep hub before the fast begins.
More Ramadan pop-up markets are expected to open across Dubai in the coming weeks, joining the city-wide programme of holiday festivities leading into the holy month.
