An Abu Dhabi-based Indian engineer became a millionaire on Wednesday after winning $1 million in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw — and he already knows exactly what he will do with the money.
The $1 Million Winner: Khaliq Naik Mohammed
Khaliq Naik Mohammed, 48, has called the UAE capital home since 2012. A native of Hyderabad, he works as an engineer-instructor at a university and is the father of three children. He had been entering Dubai Duty Free promotions for four years before Wednesday's draw finally delivered a life-changing result.
Asked about his plans for the prize, Mohammed kept his answer simple: "The majority of the money will be used in my children's education as well as for the family and also for charity."
Finest Surprise Draw: Luxury Vehicles Awarded
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw at the airport, the evening's Finest Surprise promotion handed out one luxury car and two motorbikes to three more winners.
Mercedes-Benz S500: Nazeer E., a 44-year-old Pakistani national who has lived and worked in Dubai for 20 years in logistics, claimed the luxury saloon. It was not his first win — he previously took home a BMW F 900 XR motorbike in 2022.

BMW R 1250 RS Motorbike: Rajasekaran Samaresan, an Indian resident of the UAE, rounded out the evening's winners with the touring motorbike.
