Sheikh Ahmed Opens the Arab Media Forum

The Arab Media Forum was officially opened by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, who reaffirmed Dubai's commitment to supporting the media sector.

"Casting an eye on the vision and directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, we aspire to further improve Dubai's position in establishing partnerships that would enable media to perform its mission and social role in the interest of our nation," Sheikh Ahmed said.

He added that the forum is a platform for demonstrating the media sector's promise and for the Arab region to chart a path toward its future ambitions — fostering an Arab dialogue oriented toward cooperation and comprehensive development.

Fostering Unity and Growth Across Arab Media

Sheikh Ahmed also emphasised that Arab media has progressively oriented regional dialogue in a positive direction, opening new channels of cooperation across various fields and reinforcing a shared vision for growth.

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and Member of the Executive Council of Dubai, also attended and expressed her support for the forum and its mission to elevate Arab cultural and creative industries.

The Arab Media Award continues to be a benchmark for journalistic excellence across the region, recognising the individuals and institutions that shape how the Arab world tells its story.
