Dubai Autodrome just gave the city’s off-road community a real reason to pay attention. The Motor City venue, a subsidiary of Union Properties, has officially unveiled MotoDrome, a purpose-designed off-road motorsport destination located within its Hill Circuit. This is not a seasonal pop-up or a weekend activation. MotoDrome is a fully structured, multi-discipline facility designed for riders at every level, covering motocross, quad riding, cross cars, 4×4 activations, and electric dirt bikes.
What MotoDrome Actually Is
The facility is anchored by two main tracks. The primary motocross track runs 1.8 kilometres, with elevation changes incorporated into the layout to keep the riding experience varied. The second is a 1.2-kilometre flow track, designed specifically for smaller bikes and riders who are newer to off-road terrain.
Three progressive riding levels guide participants from introductory sessions to more advanced challenges, giving newcomers a proper, structured path forward without pressure. Experienced riders get the terrain they actually want.
Sessions are divided by rider type and vehicle category. Dedicated time slots cover bikes, quads, electric dirt bikes, and younger riders, all within the health, safety, and environmental standards already in place at Dubai Autodrome.
What the General Manager Had to Say
Faisal Al Sahlawi, General Manager of Dubai Autodrome, said the launch marks “a significant milestone in the evolution of Dubai Autodrome, a subsidiary of Union Properties.” He noted the venue’s focus on accessible, structured experiences for the wider community, adding that MotoDrome brings multiple off-road disciplines into one dedicated environment, “while maintaining the standards of quality, safety, and experience that define Dubai Autodrome.”
What Is Coming Next
Phase one of the facility is expected to wrap by the end of May, with the initial program centered on training and open track days. This gives riders time to get properly familiar with the terrain.
A summer night racing series is scheduled to follow, covering bike, e-bike, and quad categories. A dedicated dirt go-kart track is set for later phases, which means the facility will keep expanding well past its launch.
Why This Matters for Dubai
MotoDrome is the kind of addition that makes sense for where Dubai is heading with lifestyle and recreation. Off-road motorsport has a growing audience in the UAE, and this gives that community a dedicated, professionally managed space to use year-round. No more heading out to scattered desert spots for a structured session. There is now an official, centrally located destination with a progression path, night racing, and more already in the pipeline.
Dubai Autodrome, already established as a serious motorsport hub in Motor City, adds another dimension to its offering with this launch.
MotoDrome is a legitimate motorsport destination with the infrastructure to match. With a summer racing series coming, a dirt go-kart track on the way, and the full weight of Dubai Autodrome behind it, the momentum here is real. Phase one wraps soon. The only question left is who shows up first.
