Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has announced a wave of key government leadership appointments across major Dubai entities. All appointments were made following the approval of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
New Director General for Dubai Health Authority
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali has been appointed Director General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Sheikh Hamdan congratulated Dr. Alsheikh Ali on the appointment and expressed confidence that the new DG will advance Dubai's strategic healthcare goals. He also extended sincere gratitude to outgoing director Awad Seghayer Al Ketbi for his dedicated service to the authority.
Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita Confirmed at Dubai Municipality
At Dubai Municipality, Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita has been confirmed as Director General, moving from his previous acting capacity to the permanent role. The appointment reinforces the municipality's mission of promoting sustainability and enhancing urban quality of life across the emirate.
Dubai Land Department and Housing Establishment
Omar Bushahab has been appointed Director General of the Dubai Land Department and simultaneously named Chairman of the Board of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. Mohammed Al Shehhi was named Acting CEO of the Housing Establishment, completing the leadership structure for the two linked entities.
Dubai Police Restructured
Significant command changes were also made within Dubai Police. Major General Harib Mohammed Al Shamsi was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs, while Major General Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi was named Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative Affairs.
Sheikh Hamdan's Message to New Appointees
Sheikh Hamdan extended his best wishes to all newly appointed officials, expressing full confidence in their ability to drive "innovation, efficiency and integrity" in their respective departments.
