Kim Kardashian's SKIMS opens first UAE store at Mall of the Emirates
After years of online-only access, SKIMS now has a physical retail home in Dubai. The American apparel and shapewear brand officially opened its first UAE store on December 22, 2025, at Mall of the Emirates, giving local shoppers the chance to browse, try on, and purchase SKIMS pieces in person. The opening marks the brand's first permanent store in the entire Middle East — a milestone for both SKIMS and Dubai's fashion retail scene.
Founded in 2019 and co-founded by Kim Kardashian, SKIMS has gained global recognition for its inclusive sizing and body-positive approach. The Dubai launch followed sustained regional demand and was made possible through a partnership with Al Tayer Insignia, the luxury retail arm of Al Tayer Group.
From online-only to in-store in Dubai
Until this launch, SKIMS products in the UAE were available exclusively through Ounass, which also operates under Al Tayer Group. While that arrangement allowed regional access, customers had no option to try items on before purchasing.
The new store changes that experience entirely. Shoppers can now browse full collections, assess fit and fabric in person, and walk out with their purchases the same day. For a brand where fit is central to the buying decision, the shift to physical retail carries real impact.
What shoppers can expect inside the store
The SKIMS Dubai store carries the brand's most sought-after collections, including Fits Everybody, Seamless Sculpt, Cotton Fleece, Cotton Rib, Boyfriend, and SKIMS Mens underwear, alongside sculpting bodysuits, shapewear, undergarments, loungewear, and select swimwear pieces.
The interior design follows SKIMS' global retail concept: curved openings, sculptural forms, reflective surfaces, and warm lighting combine to create a space that feels minimal yet immersive. Sizing remains inclusive across all categories, consistent with the brand's positioning since its 2019 launch.
Mall of the Emirates adds another flagship name
The store sits inside Mall of the Emirates, one of Dubai's busiest and most visited shopping destinations. The mall continues to attract major international fashion and lifestyle brands seeking high foot traffic and strong retail visibility. SKIMS joining its tenant mix further cements Mall of the Emirates as a hub for global apparel brands expanding into the UAE market.
Kim Kardashian, co-founder and chief creative officer of SKIMS, said: "Bringing SKIMS to Dubai has been a dream of mine for years. Dubai sets the standard for luxury retail, so it was important that this space showcase SKIMS' signature design, thoughtful details, and an elevated in-store experience."
Dubai retail momentum keeps growing
The SKIMS opening is part of a broader wave of international retail arrivals in Dubai during 2025. Irish fashion retailer Primark confirmed plans to open three stores in Dubai in partnership with Alshaya Group, with locations at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and City Centre Mirdif — all scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. Primark operates more than 450 stores worldwide and is known for affordable fashion spanning womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homeware, accessories, and beauty.
SKIMS opening its first physical store in Dubai closes a long-standing gap for regional shoppers and signals growing international confidence in the city's fashion retail market. With doors now open at Mall of the Emirates, the brand moves from delivery-only access to a full in-person shopping experience — adding another headline moment to Dubai's evolving retail calendar.
