While skies will remain largely clear through the week, the NCM has cautioned motorists to stay alert — particularly during early morning hours — due to the risk of mist or fog in coastal, northern, and internal areas.
Today's UAE Weather Update: Humidity and Fresh Winds in the North
Conditions on Monday are forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, with low cloud cover over some eastern and northern regions and a slight drop in temperatures in the north.
Humidity levels are expected to increase overnight and into Tuesday morning, especially along coastal areas, creating a chance of mist formation. Winds will be light to moderate, becoming fresh at times over northern and eastern areas.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Fog Risk and Stronger Gusts
On Tuesday, similar fair to partly cloudy conditions will prevail. Humidity will rise overnight and into Wednesday morning, with a probability of fog or mist over some northern coastal and internal areas.
Winds are forecast to blow south-westerly to north-westerly at 10–20 km/h, with gusts reaching 30 km/h. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
By Wednesday, the weather pattern remains largely unchanged. Humidity will again increase overnight into Thursday morning, with patchy fog or mist possible along the coast. Winds will shift southeasterly to northeasterly at 10–25 km/h, freshening at times and peaking at 35 km/h. Seas are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Thursday and Friday: Blowing Dust Possible in Exposed Areas
On Thursday, fair to partly cloudy weather will continue, with low cloud formation over the east coast. Winds will remain southeasterly to northeasterly at 10–20 km/h, occasionally strengthening to 35 km/h, which may cause blowing dust in exposed areas. Sea conditions will stay slight.
By Friday, conditions will remain fair to partly cloudy at times, with light to moderate winds at 10–20 km/h and gusts up to 30 km/h. Seas in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to remain slight.
NCM Weather Advisory for Motorists
The NCM has issued a standing advisory for drivers across the UAE: exercise caution during early morning hours due to reduced visibility caused by mist and fog, particularly in coastal zones and internal road networks. Slowing down and using fog lights where required can significantly reduce accident risk during these conditions.
