Dubai: Indians Eligible for Pre-Approved Visa on Arrival Must First Apply Online

Those with US green card or residence visa in UK or European Union countries will be granted entry visa to the UAE as a visitor for a period of 14 days

What To Know

  • Any Indian citizen holding an ordinary passport and holding a valid green card to the USA or a residence visa for the UK or any EU country may apply online to get a pre-arranged visa-on-arrival for a visit to the UAE for up to 14 days.
  • Earlier Indian travelers who met the stipulated criteria, could get visa on arrival at the UAE airports and the visa sticker was affixed at the immigration desk on the arrival terminal.
  • A Green Card of the United States or a residence visa of the United Kingdom or the European Union member countries, which is valid for at least half a year.

Any Indian citizen holding an ordinary passport and holding a valid green card to the USA or a residence visa for the UK or any EU country may apply online to get a pre-arranged visa-on-arrival for a visit to the UAE for up to 14 days. This type of Visa can only be renewed for another two weeks once only, this information was obtained from the general Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

Earlier Indian travelers who met the stipulated criteria, could get visa on arrival at the UAE airports and the visa sticker was affixed at the immigration desk on the arrival terminal. Nevertheless, the service requires passengers to Dubia to first complete an online application for the same.

Requirements

This should be a VALID passport or any OTHER RECOGNIZED travel document with at least 6-month validity.

A Green Card of the United States or a residence visa of the United Kingdom or the European Union member countries, which is valid for at least half a year.

Application Process

Indian tourists eligible for the pre-approved visa-on-arrival must log in to the GDRFA website https:Not bad, Pretty smart. gdrfad. gov. ae. They have to enter personal information, complete the questionnaire and pay the price (253 francs). When approved, the visa will be seen in the user’s email. This is despite the fact that the efficiency of the entire application is dependent on the availability of the internet. The time frame for expected completion of the application is between two to three days.

Traveler should not be subjected to any prohibitive conditions that may deny him/her access to UAE.

It also states that, the validity of the passport or other travel document to be used, must be for not less than 6 months.

They must have a visa or green card obtained from a legal US authority and it’s validity should be for more than 6 months.

The applicants are required to have a residence visa from the relevant authorities in UK or other member countries of European union, which should at least remain valid for more than six months.

Emirates Airline Facility

In February, as a precaution, every individual flying to and from India, Emirates offered a pre-approved visa on arrival for some of its passengers with Indian passports. This is a 14-day single entry visa that enables Emirates customers to avoid lines once they get to Dubai. In his application, the applicant sends the documents to the Dubai Visa Processing Centre of VFS Global whose activities are mandated by Emirates Airline. Emirates sought to state that the authority of decisions on visas belongs solely to the GDRFA.
