Digital Dubai has revealed its plans for GITEX Global 2024, confirming it will showcase the latest solutions defining Dubai's digital evolution. The event runs from 14 to 18 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where over 45 entities from both the Dubai government and private sector will gather under the dedicated Dubai Government Pavilion.
Dubai's AI Vision on Display at GITEX Global 2024
According to Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, GITEX Global plays a crucial role in illustrating the emirate's progress in digital advancement and artificial intelligence. The pavilion will feature innovative AI-based products and services that highlight Dubai's ambition to become a leading global smart city.
The Dubai Government Pavilion will host 36 government departments — including Dubai Health, Dubai Courts, Dubai Police, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre — alongside many private companies. Together, they will showcase innovations spanning artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital services.
Scale and Focus of GITEX 2024
This year's edition of GITEX Global is set to be the largest yet, with more than 6,000 exhibitors and 1,800 speakers from 180 countries converging at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event's thematic focus spans AI, mobility, and sustainable technologies, reflecting the global technology industry's most pressing priorities.
Digital Dubai's Broader Goals
The Digital Dubai initiative is aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, targeting key milestones including:
- Contributing approximately AED 100 billion to the digital economy - Raising the digital security rate to 90% - Developing 50 high-impact digital experiences - Achieving a top-three ranking in the UN e-government index - Positioning Dubai among the world's top five cities for attracting digital talent
