Dubai has cemented its reputation as the Middle East's premier MICE hub, winning 175 international business event bids in the first half of 2024 — a 24% jump compared to the same period in 2018. Those wins are projected to bring more than 92,000 delegates to the city and extend Dubai's business-event pipeline well into 2028.

Dubai Business Events (DBE), operating under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, drove these results by engaging a network of stakeholders and industry opinion leaders — including its Al Safeer Congress Ambassadors — to compete for and win prestigious global conferences, congresses, and incentive programmes.
The milestone underscores Dubai's standing as a preferred venue for international meetings. The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranked Dubai the number-one city in the Middle East for association meetings in 2023, and Cvent designated it the leading meeting destination across the Middle East and Africa.

These achievements directly support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the emirate's blueprint to more than double the size of Dubai's economy by 2033 and establish the city as one of the world's most attractive destinations to visit, live, and work in.
