Danube Properties' official leadership page identifies Adel as managing director of the group. The title covers Danube Group rather than only the property-development arm. The group operates businesses in building materials, property development, home retail and other sectors, while Adel is most closely associated in public interviews with Danube Home and group management.
A 2025 interview published by The Economic Times HRWorld Middle East also describes him as group managing director. In that conversation he discussed the company as a family-founded business and spoke about giving managers more responsibility across the organisation.
How did he enter the family business?
In a 2019 interview with Gulf Business, Adel said his first formal job was in the Danube warehouse when he was 13. He later worked alongside sales staff, helped with the company catalogue and was given responsibility for a chandelier product division. He said those roles exposed him to warehousing, sales and management before he graduated.

His work with Danube Home
Adel told Gulf Business that he took responsibility for the retail division after graduation and had to win the confidence of older managers who knew him as the chairman's son. He also described how the retail business was reworked under the Danube Home name.
Earlier reporting in The National identified him as a Danube Group director involved with its retail operations. The dated profile shows that his public association with the business predates Desi Bling by a decade.
Why is Adel Sajan on Desi Bling?
The official Netflix page describes Desi Bling as a reality series about wealthy Indian expatriates. Adel appears as part of the Sajan family story. A pre-release cast guide from Khaleej Times identified him as Rizwan Sajan's son and placed Sana alongside him in the programme.
In June 2026, Gulf News interviewed Adel and Sana together after the programme aired. They said they had not been given a script and described the finished episodes as a selected portion of much longer filmed events. Gulf News was interviewing the couple about their own experience; the article was not an independent examination of how every scene was produced.
The Khaleej Times cast guide introduced Adel and Sana as part of the cast before the premiere. Their later Gulf News interview adds the couple's own reflections after the series was released.

Adel is married to Dr Sana Sajan, who appears with him in Desi Bling. In the Gulf News interview they discussed their marriage, television experience and family. Adel also said they preferred not to place too much attention on their children because the children may feel differently about appearing publicly when they are older.
The couple have publicly said they have three children while choosing to keep much of their children's day-to-day lives private. That approach has remained part of how they speak about family life after the series.
