Dr. Sana Sajan is a medical doctor and qualified dentist from a family of doctors and literature laureates. Her father, a physician, inspired her to pursue medicine so she could help people, and she is an alumna of Harvard University. She created American Aesthetics, a multi-speciality aesthetics and plastic surgery centre, and successfully ran it for eight years. Her work reaches far outside the clinic.
She leads the Danube Welfare Center, the corporate responsibility initiative of Danube Group, and grew its locations from one to six a few months after taking the post. Its free English and computer courses have empowered thousands of workers to pursue better jobs, and more than 1,300 students have enrolled since she became its leader. She also holds a senior leadership role at Danube Properties and is the mother of three.
A calligraphy artist, Dr. Sajan works in Islamic and contemporary styles, and her Art Lover International Festival raises awareness and funds for children affected by thalassemia. She is also a painter and a poet who rides horses and bikes. She is a brand ambassador for the Dubai Women’s Run and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, sustainability and the rights of people of determination. She serves on the board of Join the Planet, an initiative that fights plastic pollution. One of her biggest dreams is an affordable boarding school in the UAE for children of working mothers, so families can live under one roof.
Her podcast, Sana Speaks, welcomes Max Maxwell, CEO of PADDCO and an international property developer. His active projects reach Zanzibar and Dubai, and his portfolio spans luxury beachfront and affordable housing. Season 1 of the podcast has wrapped, and Season 2 is already in the works.
A Teenager Who Started Early
Max started working at 14. Pause on that for a second, because it explains plenty about the man he became. At 17 he joined the Air Force, and those years gave him a strong work ethic and habits that last to this day. By 21 he was running a successful brokerage of his own. A teenage start and a young success story make a fantastic opening chapter, and the episode gives that chapter the spotlight it deserves. Max tells the story in a friendly, easygoing way, and you can tell the early lessons stuck. Hard work, early mornings and big goals were the starting recipe for the exciting chapters to come, and Max is proud of every one of them.
Dr. Sana Sajan Hosts A Comeback Story Worth Hearing
The 2008 financial crisis hit the brokerage Max had created, and what he did next is the heart of the episode. He came back. Max talks candidly about moving back into his mother’s home at 30, and he reveals what that season taught him. Losing money was hard, he says, yet the biggest challenge was the pressure he placed on himself to have it all figured out. That honesty is refreshing, and it shows a setback can become a launch pad. Anyone restarting a business or a life will find a friend in this part of the story, because Max speaks like a person who has lived every word. His comeback is the best proof of his own message.
Dubai Changes What Luxury Means
Dubai changed Max’s outlook on size and luxury, and he explains that true luxury is convenience. Should a glittering skyline ever catch your eye, remember that ease is the true prize. Convenience is a gift to busy people around the globe, and Max makes a strong case for putting ease first in every project. Today he is working on large developments in Zanzibar, creating infrastructure from scratch, and he openly notes the difficulty of that job. His company, PADDCO, even produces The Zanzibar Blueprint Podcast, which offers project updates, expert interviews and market analysis for anyone curious about developing on the island. In the first episode, Max and Sales Manager Nurdin Mohammed explain why Zanzibar is becoming one of the most promising property destinations in the world. It is a big mission, and Sana Speaks gives it plenty of space.
Dr. Sana Sajan Hears Why Founders Should Show Their Faces
Max has a simple message for entrepreneurs: be the face of your brand. Attention is easy to win, he says, yet strong trust grows as people see the unfinished work behind a business as well as the final result. Showing the messy middle of a project shows people who you are, and that honesty earns loyalty. It is a friendly, human style of doing business, and it suits the open tone of the whole episode. Founders who watch Max will pick up a useful habit: show the process, celebrate the wins and let people join the adventure.
Life At 40 Brings A Bigger Goal
In his 40s, Max aims for a legacy that will outlive him. Success once meant results for people to see, and now it means leaving something lasting. That goal gives his Zanzibar projects, his brand and his story an extra layer of meaning for years to come. Sana Speaks wraps this chapter on a hopeful note, and a fresh start is clearly on the horizon. Max has a goal, a plan and a story that every fan of a great comeback will love. If this episode is any sign, Season 2 has plenty to look forward to.
