Dubai is getting a new way to work. The new Dubai Work From Park initiative will bring dedicated workspaces into public parks, giving residents and professionals a chance to work in outdoor settings with full office-style facilities.
Dubai Municipality announced the project as part of its wider plan to make public spaces more useful for daily life, business activity, and flexible working. The first location is scheduled to open in May at Al Barsha Pond Park.
The project comes at a time when hybrid work, freelancing, and creator-led businesses continue to grow in Dubai.
First Site Opens at Al Barsha Pond Park
The flagship launch site for Dubai Work From Park will be at Al Barsha Pond Park. Visitors can expect modular workspace units placed within the park setting, with a focus on sustainability and practical design.
Dubai Municipality said more locations are expected later this year in other parts of the city.
What Facilities Will Be Available
The new park workspaces will include:
- Hot desks
- Event spaces
- Podcast studios
- Creative production areas
- Dedicated zones for content creators
Access will be managed through Letswork digital platform. The company will also manage programming such as training sessions, collaborative meetups, and creator-focused activities.
Who Is Behind the Project
Dubai Municipality signed cooperation agreements with Group AMANA and Letswork for the rollout.
Group AMANA, through its DuBox unit, will handle the physical workspace structures using off-site modular construction. This method allows faster installation on location while reducing waste.
Why This Matters
Dubai has already become a major base for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups, and remote professionals. Dubai Work From Park gives that community another option outside traditional offices, coworking hubs, and cafés.
It also adds fresh use cases for public parks, where people can now spend part of their day working, networking, creating content, or hosting meetings in open-air surroundings.
Part of Dubai’s Bigger 2040 Vision
Dubai Municipality said the initiative supports long-term city strategies including:
- Dubai 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy
- Dubai Urban Plan 2040
- Dubai Economic Agenda D33
These plans focus on quality of life, smart urban planning, and economic growth.
The Dubai Work From Park launch signals a fresh shift in how the city uses public space. With the first site opening in May at Al Barsha Pond Park and more locations planned later this year, Dubai residents may soon have a new favorite place to answer emails, record podcasts, or run meetings under the trees.
