Mona Kattan has revealed a major expansion for Kayali, taking the Dubai-founded fragrance brand into body care and lip care for the first time.

Ahead of the announcement, Kattan teased the project on social media, writing: “This might be the biggest thing we’ve ever done!” She then invited followers to guess what was coming before the full reveal on Thursday, August 20.

The answer is the Kayali Yum Lip & Body Collection, a new range featuring scented body creams and hydrating lip balms inspired by two of the brand’s most recognisable gourmand fragrances: Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 and Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81.

The new Kayali body care collection is expected to launch globally on August 28, giving fragrance fans another way to build their personal scent routines beyond a traditional perfume spray.

Mona Kattan Teased One Of Kayali’s Biggest Launches

Kattan’s teaser immediately generated speculation among Kayali followers because she positioned the announcement as potentially the brand’s biggest project to date.

In the caption, she encouraged fans to submit their guesses and suggested that some of those who answered correctly could be among the first to receive the new products. She also directed followers to return on August 20 for the complete announcement.

The teaser did not initially name the products, allowing Kayali’s audience to speculate about what category the fragrance business might enter next. The eventual reveal confirmed that Kayali was expanding beyond perfume and body sprays with its first dedicated collection of body creams and lip balms.

For a company built around fragrance layering, the move represents a natural extension of the products Kayali already offers. It also places the brand in everyday beauty categories that customers may use several times throughout the day.

What Is Included In The Kayali Body Care Collection?

The collection introduces two new products: the Silk Soufflé Body Cream and Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm.

Both will be available in versions based on Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 and Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81. Rather than creating unfamiliar scents for the new categories, Kayali has selected two established fragrances from its popular Yum line.

The Silk Soufflé Body Cream is designed to moisturise the skin while adding a layer of fragrance. Early product information indicates that the formula contains a blend of nourishing oils, including date seed, pomegranate, sesame, almond, moringa and olive oil.

The Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm combines lip care with the scent identity of the two Yum fragrances. It is formulated with emollient ingredients intended to keep the lips feeling soft and moisturised.

The Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 version is also expected to give the lips a soft pink tint, adding a subtle colour element to the otherwise fragrance-led collection.

Two Fan-Favourite Yum Scents Lead The Release

Kayali has chosen two of its sweet gourmand scents to introduce the new categories.

Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 combines pistachio gelato, hazelnut, sweet rum, whipped cream, marshmallow and cotton candy. The fragrance balances nutty, creamy and sugary notes to create the dessert-inspired profile for which the Yum range has become known.

Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 takes a fruitier direction with strawberry, pink marshmallow, whipped vanilla, coconut, freesia and pink musk. Its combination of soft fruit and sweet vanilla gives it a playful identity that can translate easily into a scented lip balm or body cream.

Both fragrances already have an established audience, which could make the transition into body and lip care more familiar for existing customers. Shoppers who already own one of the corresponding perfumes will be able to add another scented layer to their routine without selecting an entirely new fragrance.

They can also combine the creams and balms with other Kayali perfumes instead of using only matching products.

Why Body Care Fits Kayali’s Fragrance Philosophy

Scent layering has been part of Kayali’s identity since the company was founded in 2018. Inspired by Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, the practice involves applying different scents and scented products to create a combination that feels personal to the wearer.

The new collection takes that principle beyond the perfume bottle.

A customer could apply the Silk Soufflé Body Cream after showering, follow it with a Kayali eau de parfum and use the Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm throughout the day. Each product adds another dimension to the overall experience without requiring the customer to rely on one perfume alone.

Body cream can also provide a useful foundation for fragrance. Moisturised skin may hold scent differently from dry skin, while a fragranced cream can contribute an additional layer before perfume is applied.

The release therefore represents more than Kayali placing its name on a new beauty category. It gives the company a way to expand its signature layering concept into a fuller personal-care routine.

Kayali Moves Beyond Its Perfume Roots

Kayali has previously expanded its fragrance formats through products such as all-over body sprays. However, the Yum Lip & Body Collection marks a more significant step into beauty and personal care.

Lip balm can be reapplied throughout the day and may appeal to customers looking for a more accessible way to experience the brand. Body cream, meanwhile, can become part of a daily post-shower or evening routine.

Together, the products allow Kayali to reach beyond shoppers who are primarily buying fine fragrance. They may also introduce the brand to customers who discover it first through body or lip care before exploring its perfumes.

International reports indicate that the Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm will be priced at approximately US$24, while the Silk Soufflé Body Cream will cost around US$48. Official UAE prices and local retail availability had not been announced at the time of publication.

Customers in Dubai should check Kayali’s UAE website and authorised retailers closer to the launch for confirmed pricing and stock details.

Mona Kattan Continues To Build Kayali From Dubai

Mona Kattan founded Kayali in 2018, drawing on her personal passion for perfume and the scent-layering traditions associated with her Middle Eastern heritage. The name Kayali translates to “my imagination” in Arabic.

The fragrance business was originally launched as part of Huda Beauty, the Dubai-based beauty company associated with Mona and her sisters Huda and Alya Kattan.

In 2025, Kayali began a new chapter as an independent business under Mona Kattan’s leadership, with investment from General Atlantic. Kattan continued as the company’s founder and chief executive, giving her the opportunity to develop Kayali as a standalone international fragrance brand.

Its entry into body and lip care reflects that wider growth strategy. Although the new products move Kayali into additional categories, fragrance remains the connection between everything in the collection.

The expansion also strengthens the presence of a Dubai-founded company within the international beauty industry. From its regional beginnings, Kayali has grown into a globally recognised fragrance name available through major beauty retailers.

When Will Kayali’s New Products Launch?

Mona Kattan scheduled the full collection reveal for Thursday, August 20, following the earlier guessing campaign on social media.

The Kayali Yum Lip & Body Collection is then expected to launch globally on August 28. The initial range will include the Silk Soufflé Body Cream and Cashmere Kiss Lip Balm in Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 and Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81.

Kayali has not yet confirmed whether more fragrances will be turned into body creams or lip balms. However, the new collection creates an opportunity for other bestselling scents to receive similar releases in the future.

For now, the four-product debut gives fans new ways to experience two familiar fragrances. It also delivers on the scale of Kattan’s teaser, opening an entirely new beauty chapter for a Dubai-founded brand previously known primarily for perfume.
