Four new restaurants are set to transform the Abu Dhabi dining scene in 2025, giving food lovers even more reason to explore the capital. The newest arrivals span cult smash burgers, elegant Mediterranean fare, Greek-inspired seafood, and a globally recognised fusion concept — all landing in a city that is fast cementing its reputation as a culinary destination.
Supernova Burger — London's Cult Hit Arrives in Abu Dhabi
London's beloved Supernova Burger is making its UAE debut, brought to Abu Dhabi by Belhasa Hospitality — the group behind other successful imports including North Audley Cantine and Berenjak. The brand launched in Soho in 2023 and quickly built a loyal following for its indulgent smash burgers, crispy fries, and laid-back old-school atmosphere.
In Abu Dhabi, Supernova is set up at The House, a stylish villa-style venue in Al Bateen, sitting next door to the newly opened Berenjak Abu Dhabi. Expect the same signature burgers, sundaes, and no-fuss, all-flavour energy that made the London original a hit. The brand is also launching a food truck in Dubai, offering a more casual, on-the-go way to try the cult-favourite menu.
Isabel Mayfair — Mediterranean Elegance at The Galleria
Luxury London restaurant Isabel Mayfair is opening at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, bringing a refined Mediterranean dining experience to the capital. The Abu Dhabi outpost of this London favourite will impress with a European-inflected menu that includes Seabass Ceviche, Stracciatella, Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli, and Slow-cooked Beef Short Ribs — all served in a first-rate setting.
The Abu Dhabi branch is expected to attract diners who appreciate bold flavours, elegant surroundings, and the kind of relaxed-but-polished atmosphere that made the Mayfair original a fixture among London's food elite.
GAIA — Chef Izu Ani's Greek-Mediterranean Gem Comes to the Capital
Dubai's celebrated chef Izu Ani is bringing GAIA — his acclaimed Greek-Mediterranean concept — to Abu Dhabi, opening at the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island. The restaurant has won over Dubai diners for years with its fresh, high-quality ingredients, Greek-inspired recipes, and vibrant atmosphere.
The star of GAIA Abu Dhabi will be the signature Ice Market: a theatrical display of fresh fish and seafood delivered daily, where guests can choose their catch and have it cooked to order. Alongside the seafood, expect the Mediterranean favourites and bright, sun-drenched flavours that have made GAIA one of Dubai's most-loved dining destinations. The brand is also expanding to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as part of its regional growth.
Novikov — A Globally Recognised Name Opens at Al Maryah Island
The legendary Novikov restaurant — the brainchild of renowned restaurateur Arkady Novikov — opened at The Galleria Al Maryah Island in June 2025, marking one of the most anticipated new restaurant openings in Abu Dhabi this year.
Unlike its globally recognised Asian-Italian siblings, the Abu Dhabi outpost draws inspiration from the sun-drenched coasts of Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, and Spain. The menu spans more than 45 dishes, weaving together comforting Italian flavours, classic Greek plates, and Asian-influenced bites. Standout dishes include Grilled Scottish Salmon and Tagliatelle Wagyu Bolognese. Inside, real olive trees line the floors, hand-painted artworks cover the walls, and sculptural lighting creates a warm, golden ambience. Novikov Abu Dhabi has already earned recognition in the Michelin Guide for exceptional Italian and Mediterranean fine dining in the capital.
