TOTÓ Dubai has arrived — and it brings the elegance of 1950s Italian cinema to Downtown Dubai. The acclaimed Italian restaurant, backed by sports icons Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Pau Gasol, officially opened its doors on August 2, 2024 at Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection, marking a significant moment for Dubai's luxury dining scene.
A Third Location for a Global Italian Brand
TOTÓ Dubai is the brand's third outpost worldwide. The original restaurant launched in Madrid, Spain, followed by a location on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The Downtown Dubai venue carries forward the same identity — rustic luxury, an open kitchen, and an atmosphere steeped in the romantic glamour of mid-century Italian film.
The interiors blend wooden flooring, eye-catching artwork, and cinematic touches that evoke classic Italian movie sets, all filtered through a distinctly Dubai sensibility. Walls feature stills from the golden age of Italian cinema, creating an immersive backdrop for every meal.
Star Chefs Behind the Kitchen
Executive chef Angelo Santi, who brings more than 25 years of culinary experience to the role, leads TOTÓ Dubai's kitchen. Alongside him is pizzaiolo Chef Vincenzo Palermo, a two-time Gambero Rosso award winner celebrated for his exceptional wood-fired pizzas.
The open-kitchen format means guests can watch the culinary process unfold in real time — a reflection of the restaurant's commitment to transparency and craftsmanship.
An Italian-Mediterranean Menu Built on Tradition
TOTÓ's menu is a tribute to traditional Italian-Mediterranean cooking, drawing on recipes and techniques passed down through generations. From cold and hot antipasti to handmade pastas and wood-fired pizzas, every dish is rooted in authenticity.
House specialties to look out for include burrata Pugliese, vitello tonnato, parmigiana di zucchine, la carbonara, and polpo alla brace. For dessert, the tiramisu TOTÓ, burrata cheesecake, and Italian gelato are standout choices.
On the drinks side, sommelier Giovanni curates a list of fine and rare Italian wines, alongside inventive cocktails. A highlight is the exclusive Frescobaldi rosé, imported specially for the Dubai venue.
Live DJ Sets Thursday to Saturday
TOTÓ rounds out the experience with a resident DJ performing live every Thursday through Saturday, making it a strong evening destination as well as a lunch spot.
