Dubai's most beloved cultural destination, Global Village, has officially confirmed its reopening date for the landmark Global Village Season 30. The family-favorite attraction returns on Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and runs through Sunday, 10 May 2026 — a milestone season celebrating three decades of uniting cultures, cuisines, shopping, and entertainment under one roof.
A Dubai Institution for 30 Years
Launched in 1997 as a modest pop-up during the Dubai Shopping Festival, Global Village began in a car park opposite the Dubai Municipality building at Dubai Creek. Over the years it moved several times — including stints at Oud Metha and Dubai Festival City — before finally settling in its current 17.2 million-square-foot location in Dubailand in 2005.
Since then it has transformed into one of Dubai's most iconic attractions, drawing millions of visitors every season. Season 29 set an all-time record with over 10.5 million guests. What started as a small market has grown into a massive multicultural celebration offering an unparalleled mix of food stalls, themed pavilions, thrilling rides, shopping bazaars, and live performances.
What to Expect in Global Village Season 30
The upcoming season is not just another reopening — it marks 30 years of Global Village, and organizers are preparing special additions to make it unforgettable.
Cultural Pavilions: Season 29 hosted 30 pavilions representing 90 cultures. For the anniversary season, visitors can expect even more new pavilions and experiences celebrating Dubai's diversity, including a floating market and a new AI entertainment area.
Food & Dining: From viral street food creations to authentic global cuisines, Global Village is famous for its wide range of food stalls and dining concepts. The venue hosts hundreds of food outlets representing every corner of the world.
Carnival Rides & Attractions: Families can look forward to the Carnaval zone, the Mega Kid adventure zone, a water and light garden, packed with rides, arcade games, and children's attractions.
Concerts & Live Entertainment: The venue regularly hosts international music stars, dance troupes, acrobats, and cultural shows — including Chinese acrobatics, martial arts demonstrations, and the stunt spectacular "Fast Live."
Fireworks & Special Events: The opening night featured a parade, skydivers, and a drone and pyrotechnic show lighting up the sky with a glowing "30" to mark the milestone. Expect dazzling fireworks and anniversary-themed shows throughout the season.
20 Years at Dubailand
Season 30 also coincides with another milestone — 20 years since Global Village relocated to Dubailand. The 2005 move allowed the attraction to expand dramatically, offering space for larger pavilions, more entertainment venues, and an enhanced visitor experience that simply wasn't possible at its earlier locations.
Tickets and Opening Hours
Standard entry tickets provide access to pavilions, cultural shows, street entertainment, and dining areas. Additional attractions — including Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Carnaval rides, and the stunt show — require separate tickets available at the venue.
Free entry applies to children under 3, seniors aged 65 and above, and People of Determination (with one companion).
