The god of Delivery and online food ordering applications Swiggy is in the news today as the people from India living in UAE can now order foods, gifts, groceries and many more to their family in India. The residents can also order restaurant tables using Swiggy Dineout and they use their UAE phone numbers.

Rohit Kapoor, Swiggy Food Market Place CEO revealed that through the new login service our people in UAE can directly order food to more than seven hundred cities in India. The service is aimed at the 3.9 million Indians living in the UAE, which makes them the largest expat community in the country.

How It Works

They just have to download the Swiggy phone app, and use the registered phone number of the United Arab Emirates, to order food. Customers can make the payment through international credit cards or India’s pay system known as Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Kapoor said that for those users who will be coming from different parts of the world, there are no extra costs, and it goes as simple as placing an order in India.

‘This is ideal especially for those with families back at their home country’. “One can order food, gifts or groceries and pay with ease which makes it easy to make a surprise to your special someone” Kapoor said.

Expanding Reach Globally

Furthermore, apart from UAE, Swiggy’s international login allows consumers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It also includes an opportunity to access Swiggy Instamart for various quick commerce needs.

Swiggy’s Expansion Plans

Currently, Swiggy has not delved into delivering its services in Dubai but Kapoor nodded at expanding the network of zones in India before extending services to the UAE.

Notably, Kapoor was shocked to find out Indian places with names as ‘Dubai Mall’, ‘Dubai Gate’ in Kerala and ‘Telangana respectively and that these places are already under Swiggy delivery system.

Through its unique feature where customers can login internationally,.swiggy mends the relationship between expatriates and their love ones back home.
