Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's both — and it just got a whole lot cooler. Etihad Airways has partnered with Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi to launch the world's first Warner Bros. World-branded aircraft, a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner that turns every departure from Abu Dhabi into a themed adventure.
The World's First Warner Bros. World-Branded Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner
This is not just any plane. One side of the aircraft showcases the beloved absurdity of Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, while the other side celebrates the heroics of DC Super Heroes. Unveiled on July 25, 2024 at an event held at Warner Bros. World on Yas Island, the livery transforms a standard long-haul jet into a flying billboard for Abu Dhabi's most iconic indoor theme park.
Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves said the aircraft would "promote Abu Dhabi's attractions globally," while Miral Group CEO Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi noted that the partnership extends "the Warner Bros. World experience beyond the park, creating lasting memories for passengers."
From Zayed International Airport to Cruising Altitude
The Etihad Airways Warner Bros. World themed aircraft experience begins before passengers even board. Etihad's lounge at Zayed International Airport now features a dedicated Kids Zone — a Warner Bros. World-inspired play area designed to entertain children ahead of departure and make the wait as exciting as the destination.
Young flyers aged up to 10 years travelling on longer Etihad flights receive brand-new Warner Bros. World Kids Packs, filled with character-themed activities. The youngest passengers receive a soft DC Super Hero blanket, while older children get branded DC backpacks, Super Hero capes, water bottles, and activity kits — all designed to keep them engaged at 30,000 feet.
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi: The Largest Indoor Theme Park in the Region
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Warner Bros. World Yas Island, the largest indoor theme park in the region. By partnering with Etihad Airways, the magic of the theme park now extends from the moment guests arrive at the airport through to their flight — guaranteeing every journey from Abu Dhabi carries a touch of Warner Bros. wonder.
The Etihad Airways Warner Bros. World themed aircraft is part of a broader push to position Abu Dhabi as a global family tourism destination, with Yas Island at the centre of that strategy.
