The Dubai Shopping Festival drone show is back at JBR, bringing futuristic sky art to the city for the full length of the busy shopping season. More than 1,000 LED drones are programmed into dazzling formations, lighting patterns, and colour sequences set to music — including first-ever drone-powered pyro-style effects — all completely free for visitors.
Two Shows Every Night at 8pm and 10pm
Audiences get a fresh experience each evening with two distinct performances. The first show, Dubai City of Dreams, uses cinematic storytelling to take viewers on a journey through the city's iconic landmarks — Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and the Dubai skyline — backed by sweeping Hans Zimmer tracks and other beloved soundscapes.
The second show, Celebrations, delivers a high-energy display packed with vivid colours, festive imagery, and complex drone formations synced with powerful music. It reflects the spirit of DSF perfectly, making it an ideal outing for families, tourists, and anyone wanting a memorable evening beside the water.
Upgraded for DSF 2025
This year's DSF drone show arrives with significant improvements. Software upgrades enable "faster drone movements, smoother choreography and brighter LEDs," sharpening every visual across the night sky. New effects simulate glowing fireworks and luminous ribbons — all the spectacle with none of the smoke or noise.
A Free Festival Highlight You Can't Miss
The drone show is one of the most popular free events during the Dubai Shopping Festival, set against the backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, JBR's glittering skyline, and Bluewaters Island. With two performances a night running for more than five weeks, there are dozens of chances to watch.
