Chipotle Mexican Grill is officially coming to Dubai — and it's happening sooner than many fans expected. The cult American fast-food chain will open its first UAE location at The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) this October, marking a major milestone in the brand's Middle East expansion.
Chipotle Dubai: What You Need to Know
The Dubai opening is the second step in Chipotle's regional rollout under a partnership with the Alshaya Group. The first Middle East location launched in Kuwait in May 2024, and now the brand is bringing its signature fast-casual Mexican food to Dubai — with plans to open four UAE restaurants before the end of 2024.
Chipotle is well known for its quick Mexican cuisine, prepared fresh with minimal time between cooking and serving. The menu features burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and salads. Popular proteins include chicken, steak, braised beef, and plant-based options. Toppings — including black beans, fajita veggies, rice, salsa, and guacamole — are included at no extra cost.
Alshaya Group Partnership Behind UAE Launch
Chipotle's entire Middle East expansion is being led by the Alshaya Group, one of the region's largest franchise operators.
"Consumers have always been anticipating a Chipotle outlet here in the Middle East, and according to the reports I have gotten, the cuisine they are providing to guests is as excellent as those being offered in other Chipotle outlets in the US," said John Hadden, Chief Executive Officer of Alshaya Group. "We are privileged to have launched this fast-food American restaurant in Kuwait, and are eagerly waiting for the Dubai store later this year as the first outlets under our special alliance with Chipotle."
Coming to The Beach JBR
For fans of Chipotle Mexican Grill in Dubai, the wait is almost over. This October, the brand will open its doors at The Beach, JBR — one of Dubai's most popular waterfront dining and leisure destinations — bringing its fresh, customisable menu to the UAE for the first time.
