Dubai's favourite festive tradition is officially making a comeback. The Madinat Jumeirah Christmas Market 2025 has confirmed its return dates, and thousands of residents are already planning their December calendars. The market opens on Friday, 5 December and runs until Wednesday, 31 December — giving families almost a full month of holiday magic at no cost.
What to Expect at the Madinat Jumeirah Christmas Market 2025
The market is known for its iconic photo spots beneath a 36-foot Christmas tree, dreamy abra rides gliding through the Madinat canals, and the smell of fresh mince pies drifting through the waterfront air. Entry is completely free, making it one of the easiest choices for an evening stroll, a date night, or a family outing without spending a dirham at the gate.
While the full 2025 lineup has not been revealed in its entirety, the market traditionally features a mix of dining pop-ups, festive shopping stalls, live music with carol singers, Santa appearances, and themed abra rides. Last year, the abra ride with Santa became one of Dubai's most-shared Christmas moments on social media — and it is widely expected to return this season.
Family Activities and Kids' Entertainment
Children will find plenty to enjoy throughout the Christmas market Dubai experience. The mini train, Venetian carousel, and candy-filled market stations are perennial favourites. The waterfront setting at Fort Island inside Madinat Jumeirah adds a magical atmosphere that is hard to replicate elsewhere in the city.
Opening Hours
The timings are designed to work as a perfect after-work plan on weekdays and a full festive day out on weekends:
- Monday to Thursday: 3 pm till late - Friday to Sunday: Noon till late
This means visitors can enjoy both the daytime ambience and the evening lights under one festive outing.
