The Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2026 is officially underway at Emirates Golf Club, running from January 22 to 25. The tournament delivers four days of world-class golf on the iconic Majlis Course — complete with star power, sunshine, and a surprise musical moment for fans attending on Saturday.

Global Golf Stars Return to Dubai
Some of the biggest names in international golf are back on the Majlis Course for this year's championship. The elite field includes Rory McIlroy, former world number one Dustin Johnson, Tyrell Hatton, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Reed, Nicolai Højgaard, and Ryan Fox.
With major titles and Ryder Cup appearances spread across the field, the stage is set for a highly competitive four days of play at Emirates Golf Club.
Surprise WICKED Performance on Saturday
Spectators attending on Saturday are in for an unexpected treat. A special WICKED performance by Broadway Entertainment Group will take place at Tournament Town from 3:00pm to 3:30pm.
Following the performance, fans can enjoy a meet-and-greet with Elphaba and Glinda, with children and families invited onstage for photos. The appearance offers a preview of the global musical phenomenon, featuring iconic songs including Defying Gravity, Popular, and For Good.
How to Get There
There is no public parking available onsite at Emirates Golf Club. Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transport.
The easiest option is the Dubai Metro — Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station sits directly outside the main entrance on the Red Line, connecting easily to Mall of the Emirates, Business Bay, Dubai Mall, World Trade Centre, and Airport Terminal 3.
Drivers can park for free at Centrepoint, Etisalat, or Jebel Ali Metro stations and take the metro to Al Fardan Exchange.
Taxis will operate throughout the tournament from designated pick-up and drop-off points. Bus route 83 also stops at Al Fardan Exchange Metro Station.
Limited paid parking is available on Saturday and Sunday on a first-come, first-served basis at nearby car parks, including Reem Al Sahra Car Park Rental and American University Dubai, accessible via footbridge.
