The UAE Lottery's first winner has been crowned. Mirza Omair Baig claimed a historic Dh100,000 prize using the Golden 7 Scratch Card — making him the inaugural "Winner Spotlight" of the UAE's only authorised lottery, operated by Game LLC and regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
UAE Lottery's First Winner: Mirza Omair Baig
Baig's win came after the UAE Lottery held its inaugural Lucky Day draw on December 14, 2024. He purchased a Golden 7 Scratch Card — priced at Dh50, with a top jackpot of Dh1 million — and matched the Dh100,000 second-tier prize. The UAE Lottery congratulated him on social media platform X, writing: "Your big win has officially made history as the first #WinnerSpotlight on our page. Stay in this as you have survived the group stages — you deserve this!"
Baig received his cheque at a ceremony following the draw, marking the first time a resident had claimed a prize of this scale from the UAE's newly licensed lottery.

About the UAE Lottery and Game LLC
The UAE Lottery is the country's first and only government-regulated lottery. Game LLC, an Abu Dhabi-based operator, received its licence from the GCGRA in July 2024. The Lucky Day format requires players to select six numbers from 31 "Day" options and one number from 12 "Month" options. Matching all seven numbers wins the Dh100 million grand jackpot; matching all six Day numbers earns Dh1 million.
Scratch cards such as the Golden 7 offer an alternative entry point, with prizes ranging from Dh50,000 to Dh1,000,000. Participation is open to UAE residents aged 18 and above. Draws are held every other Saturday, giving residents two chances per month to compete for life-changing prizes.
The growing frequency of draws reflects the UAE's broader diversification of entertainment and leisure services, offering residents a regulated, internationally benchmarked pathway to winning millionaire-level prizes.
