Dubai has launched the Dubai AI Seal, a new certification program designed to build trust in artificial intelligence companies and reinforce the emirate's ambition to become a worldwide AI hub.
What Is the Dubai AI Seal?
Under the directives of Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has announced the Dubai AI Seal — a third-party verification program for AI firms operating in Dubai.
The initiative is designed to "enhance confidence in sellers of artificial intelligence related solutions and services," the DCAI stated. Certified companies are permitted to display the AI Seal across their online and offline marketing channels, boosting market recognition and credibility.
Businesses and government entities can use the certification to verify the reliability of their AI service providers. Participation is voluntary and free of charge, with applications submitted through dub.ai/en/ai-seal.
Six-Tier Classification System
AI businesses are classified into six tiers — E, D, C, B, A, and S — reflecting each company's relevance and strength within its specific sector. The tier assigned to a firm takes into account its current and future project portfolio, its economic contribution to the AI industry, and the scope of its services.
The tiered structure is intended to give government entities and businesses clearer guidance when selecting AI solution providers. The Dubai AI Seal effectively serves as a verifiable directory of trusted AI service providers operating in the emirate.
Alignment with Dubai's AI Roadmap
The certification program is a direct component of the Dubai Artificial Intelligence Roadmap, an ambitious plan to foster innovation, transparency, and sustainable development across AI-driven industries.
The initiative also aligns with the broader Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI, positioning the emirate as a destination of choice for responsible AI investment and deployment.
Certification is expected to become a prerequisite for companies seeking to participate in future UAE and Dubai government AI projects — making early accreditation a significant competitive advantage.
A Step Toward Global AI Leadership
The Dubai AI Seal represents a concrete step in Dubai's ongoing effort to lead on AI governance. By establishing a standardised trust and transparency framework for AI companies, the program supports Dubai's goal of becoming the AI capital of the world.
