Dubai AI Week 2025 officially launched on April 21 under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation. The Crown Prince made clear that AI adoption by governments would define their success in reaching strategic missions while upholding community welfare.
Sheikh Hamdan Sets the Tone at the AI Retreat
At the inaugural AI Retreat, Sheikh Hamdan stated: "The ability of governments to keep pace with rapid AI advancement will be a key benchmark of their success in realising strategic objectives and enhancing community wellbeing."
The leader underscored how artificial intelligence must become a strategic tool to develop both the economy and society — shaping Dubai's future direction and cementing its position among the world's leading cities devoted to technological transformation.
150+ Global Experts Convene at Museum of the Future
Through closed roundtables held at the Museum of the Future, more than 150 international experts and government officials addressed four core tracks: data governance, digital infrastructure, economy and investment, and talent development. The discussions explored actionable policies and strategies to maximise AI's benefits across critical sectors.
Sheikh Hamdan also called for a proactive approach in the government sector to keep pace with the AI revolution and prepare for future transformations.
Five-Day Programme Spans the Emirate
Running from April 21 to 25, Dubai AI Week 2025 brings together a wide lineup of flagship events:
- Dubai Assembly for AI — hosted at AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers, gathering 2,500 global AI figures across eight thematic tracks - Global Prompt Engineering Championship — a competitive showcase of AI prompting talent - AI Innovations Conference — a platform for emerging AI breakthroughs - Machines Can See Summit — held at the Museum of the Future on April 23–24, featuring keynotes, workshops, and an expo zone - Hackathon: Agentic AI — challenging innovators to build autonomous AI agents tackling real-world problems
Activities are taking place across AREA 2071, the Museum of the Future, and educational facilities throughout the emirate.
Organised by Dubai's Leading AI Bodies
The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the Dubai Future Foundation are organising the event, supported by strategic partners including DEWA, Dubai Digital Authority, and the UAE Government's Artificial Intelligence Office.
International technology corporations — Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, NVIDIA, IBM, and Google — are active participants in the programme.
