# UAE AI Work Permit System "Eye" Launched at GITEX 2025

The UAE has taken another major leap toward becoming one of the world's most technologically advanced labour markets with the launch of "Eye" — a new AI-powered work permit approval system introduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) at GITEX Global 2025.

The system aims to automate work permit approvals, reduce processing time, and improve service quality for employers and employees across the UAE.

How the "Eye" AI System Works

The "Eye" system deploys an AI agent to automatically verify essential documents required for work permit applications — including personal photos, passports, and academic certificates — ensuring accuracy and reducing the need for manual checks.

This automation is designed to speed up approval processes and minimise human error, allowing manual reviews only when truly necessary. The result is a faster, more reliable pathway for employers seeking to onboard new talent in the UAE.

MoHRE Official: A Milestone in Digital Transformation

Rashid Hassan Al Saadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Market Services at MoHRE, said that "Eye" represents a major milestone in the Ministry's digital transformation journey.

"It reflects our commitment to advancing innovation, enhancing customer experience, and aligning with the UAE's national digital transformation strategy," he noted.

Al Saadi added that the system not only cuts administrative costs but also improves operational efficiency and the overall customer experience. Employers benefit from faster onboarding of new talent, while employees experience a smoother, more transparent process.

Part of MoHRE's Broader GITEX 2025 Portfolio

The UAE AI work permit initiative is part of MoHRE's broader portfolio of smart projects showcased at GITEX, including the Work Bundle platform, Ask Data analytics tool, Smart Safety Tracker, and the MOHRE Smart Application — all reinforcing the UAE's ambition for AI leadership in government services.

Currently, over 80% of UAE government services are digitised or AI-driven, marking a defining step in the country's mission to achieve full smart governance.

UAE Positions Itself as a Global AI Leader

With "Eye," MoHRE is positioning itself as a model for how AI can drive public sector innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and support the UAE's goal of building an agile, future-ready economy.

The launch underscores a broader national strategy: streamline every touchpoint in the labour market using technology, reduce bureaucratic friction, and deliver measurable value to both businesses and workers operating in the UAE.
